CR Gibbs is a Sheffield building and construction company specialising in public sector construction and refurbishment contracts in Sheffield and the surrounding area. Gibbs has worked on a wide range of projects in the public sector such as Hospitals, Schools and Universities. Gibbs clients include public sector bodies and national companies such Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, Sheffield City Council, Barnsley Council, Primark and The National Blood Service. We have a long term working relationship with many architects, quantity surveyors and project managers and carry out both competitive and negotiated contract works for all public bodies and commercial enterprises.

C R Gibbs & Sons (Sheffield) Ltd were established in the early 1970’s by John A Gibbs and provided a quality building maintenance service to local clients. The family business developed over the years by employing good solid business values and practices built on reputation for quality and reliability.

Over the years the company has recognised the need for change and growth to meet the modern day clients needs under a strict system of modern day contractual, training and Health and safety procedures.

We have achieved this by investment within the company from training, apprenticeships, Health and Safety, promotion and opportunity whilst maintaining open values, honesty and integrity.

Our current client base represents virtually all public body associations within the Yorkshire region and beyond along with select development partnerships in order to achieve the companies gradual but progressive increase in turnover. This currently stands at £8 million.

We have extensive knowledge across the market sector from new build apartments, housing and commercial buildings to complex refurbishment work within hospital, university, school and church environments.
